Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hostler/Yard Jockey to join our team at DTS. This role is essential for ensuring efficient operations within our warehouse environment. The Warehouse Hostler will contribute to our mission of excellence by supporting the loading and unloading of freight and maintaining organization within the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and maneuver trailers around the yard or on area streets as needed.
- Organize and position trailers at loading docks for loading or unloading.
- Inspect trailers for any damage and report them to management.
- Maintain accurate records of trailer locations and availability.
- Communicate with warehouse and distribution center staff to coordinate trailer movements.
- Ensure the yard is kept clean and free from debris.
- Comply with safety procedures and regulations while operating equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on yard trucks and equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Hostler/Yard Jockey, local driver, or similar role.
- Valid CDL A license and good driving record.
- Previous experience as a Forklift Driver in a Warehouse Environment.
- Ability to operate yard truck and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent understanding of safety procedures and company regulations.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment preferred (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, stock pickers).
- Must be able to work weekends and swing shifts.
- Must be at least 18 years old; be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the USA, pass a drug test, and a physical abilities test.

ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
FREIGHT INVOICING / BILLING / ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE
Role Summary
This position is responsible for aiding in accuracy and completion of all aspects in billing and collections processes. This position will ensure accurate invoicing, resolve billing discrepancies and maintain up-to-date financial records, while ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. This position is responsible for the timely transition of our invoicing process with “Next Day Billing” and “Shared Services”. This position will provide oversite for the revenue splits and support the owner operator settlement process. The ideal candidate will have experience in billing, accounts receivable and collections with exceptional communications skills, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately review, validate, audit and process freight invoices to ensure timely and correct billing
- Payment Processing: Accurately record, validate and apply customers payments, ensuring proper allocation
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing/payment discrepancies by working closely with carriers, vendors and internal departments
- Data Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date billing records, ensuring accuracy in freight rates, fuel, surcharges and accessorial fees. Monitoring outstanding customer accounts for timely payments, collection efforts, payment statuses and remittance details ensuring proper aging
- Proactive Documentation Collection: Gather all necessary documents (BOLs, PODs, Lumpers, Detentions, etc.) to ensure invoices are released within 24 hours of delivery
- Process Driver Envelopes: Review content, scan and index documents, and properly file envelopes for secure storage
- Complete Indexing of Scanned Documents: Ensure all scanned documents from internal teams are accurately indexed and accessible
- Audit Interlines: Review and verify interline invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with
company policies and facilitating the creation of carrier vouchers for timely payments - Account Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in billing and payments while building strong customer relationships
- Shared Service Support: Aid internal teams, ensuring smooth billing operations across all profit centers
- Customer Care: Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding billing, providing clear and professional communication within 24 hours of receipt
- Collaboration: Work closely with rates, sales, dispatch and customer service teams to streamline the billing and accounting process
- Compliance: Ensure billing practices adhere to company policies and industry regulations
